About

My childhood was filled with adventurous taste testing. Leading me to my firm belief….You have to try it before you can say you don’t like it. Not that I can say I enjoyed many of the strange things my Dad would convince us all to eat, such as, pig brains, peacock, a couple of different “fries”….but it left me with the urge to try new things.

This blog is pretty much for personal reasons, for my friends and family to look at, a place to bring my love of food, trying new things, and photography all together. I will be documenting for the next 52 weeks, a meal each week from a totally different country, something I’ve never cooked before, or at least something from across the world that I have never tasted.

My husband and two children will be along for the journey……as well as their honest opinions of what we are exploring!

I need some suggestions as to what country we will be choosing a dish from, or something new to try. But please do not suggest preserved duck eggs. We tried those last night, and it will be my first entry. Enjoy!

I stumbled across your blog while searching for a recipe for a Czech recipe for a “Country Night” dinner we do with friends once a month. Great blog. I look forward to more posts.

Thanks! I just started working on this a few weeks ago, will have a weekly new post….Filipino dinner tomorrow! Luckily we live near Cincinnati, OH and have a gigantic grocery called Jungle Jim’s International Grocery store, makes this way easier when you have access to so many ethnic groceries!
